Australian Counselling Association - ACA Level 2 Member - 2022-06-15.png

I am a trauma focused, person centered counsellor. I graduated from Murdoch University in 2015 with a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Drama & Psychology from Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK. I am a Level 2 registered member of the Australian Counselling Association.

Over the past 9 years I have worked for various organisations, in both metropolitan and regional areas, providing counselling for adults and children. Throughout my career I have gathered significant knowledge and skills in alcohol and other drug use, eating disorders, family violence, trauma and child sexual abuse.

I am curious to hear about people’s personal experiences and the journey they have been on which has lead them into counselling. I am passionate about supporting people, I will walk alongside them and advocate for their healing. The main focus of my work is around trauma, trauma responses, how these impact behaviour and functioning and how healing can be achieved.

My own healing journey has been a struggle and I have experienced trauma, grief and loss. These events have shaped who I am today and allowed me to realise the growth that can come after adversity. Therapy is the key for my own healing and self improvement.

I am a mother, wife, daughter and sister. I enjoy family time, reading, music, and being creative with my children. My therapy journey is ongoing, along with my continuing professional development and clinical supervision to support my therapeutic work.
